Hello and welcome to my site.

Fishy Addictions is a home-based business located in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. I carry a variety of Tropical Freshwater fish. Such as German Discus, Angelfish, Zebra Plecos (L046), and Bristle Nose Plecos. All of my stock is either bred and raised by me or by other local breeders that share the same high standards as I do. When you select your new fish from my aquariums, you can feel confident knowing that you are receiving healthy and active fish with solid bloodlines—giving you and your fish the best chance at success.

Why should you choose Fishy Addictions?

  1. I am a hobbyist first, retailer second. Every aquatic animal that is in my care takes priority over all else, including profit.

  2. I have a responsibility to you and the animals:

    • I will be available as a resource to you for any before or after fish care questions.

    • I will not oversell to my customers.

    • I will not knowingly sell unhealthy fish.

  1. I maintain a limited selection of fish to ensure that I can keep the best conditions for all aquatic animals under my care.

  2. I believe that fish-keeping should be easy and enjoyable. Anyone who has never had an aquarium should be able to bring home fish and be successful. Of course, there is a learning curve, and some preparation is needed. I will be available as a resource to you for any before or after fish care questions that you might have. Any advice that I offer will be to help you achieve success, not to benefit my sales.

Where do I get my fish?

  • All of the fish I sell are either bred by other local breeders or me. Through networking and fostering connections with other local hobbyists, I have found a large group of breeders who share the same high standards as I do.

What to expect when you pick up your fish

I offer curbside pick-up. We will schedule a pick-up that works for both of us. I will always make sure to choose the best ones for you.

I want to help make fish keeping as enjoyable and straightforward as possible for you and anyone else that wants to try it.

Sincerely,

Brad Hearn
